7v7 Football Central Texas

Texas 7-on-7

For athletes competing in 7v7 football Central Texas programs, varsity success starts long before the fall season. Winter, Spring and Summer is where timing, chemistry, and confidence are built.

CenTex Sports gives athletes the reps, competition, and game-speed experience they need to elevate their play. Big plays start with today.

School-Based 7on7 Division Avaliable

CenTex Sports is excited to offer a School-Based 7on7 Division designed to give athletes the opportunity to compete alongside teammates from their school and local feeder-school community.

Teams in this division will be formed primarily around school attendance, feeder patterns, and geographic area, creating a competitive environment where players can represent their school community and compete against other school-based teams.

To participate in the School-Based Division, teams should register using the team registration fee. Programs or groups that need assistance forming a complete roster may contact CenTex Sports to discuss available accommodations and roster options.

All School-Based Division teams and players will be required to complete the Zorts verification process. As part of this process, players may be required to submit a current report card or other approved school documentation to verify school attendance and division eligibility.

The majority of the schedule will feature school-vs.-school matchups. However, teams may also play a limited number of games against teams outside of the school-based format. These crossover games allow us to provide additional competition, schedule variety, and ensure teams can complete their 10-game regular-season schedule.

Our goal is to create a 7on7 experience that promotes school pride, local rivalries, community involvement, player development, and competitive opportunities while providing every team with a diverse and exciting schedule.

High-Octane Passing Formats

We bridge this development gap by running a highly structured, competitive environment at Round Rock Multipurpose Complex or Glenn High School. By eliminating the line of scrimmage rush, our passing league creates an intensive focus on coverage structures, route-running precision, and rapid spatial decision-making.

The Summer Rep Deprivation Problem

Traditional off-season football training focuses heavily on weight room metrics and track times. While physical conditioning is vital, athletes consistently lose their situational field awareness, spatial timing, and reaction speed when they go months without playing actual competitive downs.

Maximizing Skill Position Volume via Friday Doubleheaders

Standard tournament structures often force families to travel across counties just to sit through long weather delays or play a single elimination match. This inefficient format leaves young athletes standing on the sidelines instead of getting better.

Other League & Events

Two Full Matches Every Single Game Day

Our league structure utilizes a mandatory doubleheader framework every single week to maximize player volume:

  • 24-Minute Continuous Clocks: Games move at a blistering pace to simulate real two-minute drill pressures.
  • Guaranteed Repetition Volume: Playing two back-to-back games ensures your athlete locks in double the playbook reps compared to standard recreational tracks.
  • Elite Venue Facilities: Every down is played on premium synthetic turf, keeping the play clean and fast.

Rosters, Fees, and Team Formation Realities

We build a realistic pathway for both established club rosters and individual free agents looking to join the local sports culture.

Complete Roster Formations

Coaches looking to test their school or select rosters against elite regional talent can lock in full team entries:

  • Team Registration Fee: $1,250 covers your complete squad through our 10-game regular season and explicit post-season championship tournament brackets.

Free Agent

The Free Agent Route and Coach Volunteering

Individual athletes looking for a team can register as free agents for $165. We actively cluster free agents based on their geographic school zones to build local community chemistry.

Operational Reality: To guarantee a free agent team forms, we rely directly on local parent and volunteer coach applications. If low division sign-ups prevent a roster from coming together, CenTex Sports issues an immediate 100% financial refund.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

All athletes are strictly required to wear soft-shell helmets or protective halos along with a standard mouthguard during active play. Because 7v7 is a touch-based passing format, full pads are prohibited, but head safety gear is non-negotiable to prevent collision injuries on the turf.

Divisions rely directly on the player’s scholastic grade bracket as of August 1st, 2025, matching the official NFL Flag age division guidelines. This alignment ensures absolute structural fairness, preventing older varsity players from dropping down into developmental youth pools.

Our league officials coordinate directly with the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex grounds crew to inspect fields by 4:00 PM. If severe lightning forces a delay, match updates push instantly through our automated parent text network, and affected doubleheaders move straight to our July 31st championship night window.
